What to Expect

This year's Book & Blog Festival is intended to be the largest under-one-roof gathering of top cookbook authors, culinary writers, and food bloggers in the country. The event gives both IACP members and the public a chance to meet, greet, and discover top culinary writers in a festive, fun environment with music, giveaways, and, of course, books. We'd like to thank Fieldstone Book Company for providing and selling the books for our participating writers.

Festival FAQ

Q: Who can exhibit?

A: Anyone who has authored a book in the world of food and drink. Anyone who has an active blog dedicated to the world of food and drink.

Q: Do I need to be an IACP member to exhibit?

A: No, but if you are a member, you receive our discounted member rate.

Q: How do I register to exhibit?

A: Register online. If you are a book author, you will be asked to answer a few simple questions at the end of the registration form:

  • Book title(s)?
  • Publisher(s)?
  • Genre?
  • Available in hard cover or paperback?
  • Would you like to participate in a book giveaway contest or treasure hunt?

If you are a blogger, you will be asked to supply the name of your blog.

Q: Who attends the Book & Blog Festival?

A: The Festival will be open to IACP Annual Conference attendees and will also be open, as a ticketed event, to the general public. A single event ticket is $10 online and $15 at the door. Culinary professionals and culinary students may purchase a combined Culinary Expo and Book & Blog Festival pass for $35 online and $40 at the door. Tickets for the event will go on sale February 11.

Q: How much does it cost to be an exhibitor?

A: Pricing is set to make it affordable for IACP members, and to encourage non-IACP members to join the event. Book signing and blog presentation tables are available for 90 minutes or for the full three hours of the event. You may indicate a time preference for the Festival, however IACP reserves the right to assign time slots and table positions, and will be grouping authors by genre. Your time slot and table will be assigned to you by March 10.

  • IACP members: $50 for 90-minute slot, $75 for 3-hour slot
  • Non members:  $85 for 90-minute slot, $125 for 3-hour slot

Q: What’s included for participating authors/bloggers?

A: Several perks:

  • Inclusion in our online register and printed program
  • Opportunity to meet your readers and network with other authors and bloggers
  • Possibility of being interviewed on site
  • Chance to be involved in pre-conference promotion (book giveaways, etc.)
  • Ability to promote yourself and your work on laptops, through promotional materials, with nibbles from your book or blog, etc.

Q: What is the deadline for registering to exhibit?

A: You must register by March 5 to be included in this year’s Book & Blog Festival. Please note that tables and time slots are subject to availability. As we expect these tables to book quickly, we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Q: Who will sell the books?

A: We are pleased to have Fieldstone Book Company, a portable independent bookseller, at our event. Fieldstone will be responsible for ordering, supplying, and selling all books at the event. If you have any questions regarding the ordering of your books, please feel free to call (201) 891-8444 or email fieldstonebooks@gmail.com. If you have any general questions regarding the Book & Blog Festival, please email info@iacp.com or call (646) 358-4957 or (866) 358-4951.

Q: What if my book is self-published or out-of print?

A: If you have books that are out-of-print, self-published, or not readily available from a publisher in the United States, you may bring copies of the books which Fieldstone Book Company will sell, giving the author 60% of the total amount received for books sold during the event. All book sales will be handled by Fieldstone Books, including self-published or out-of-print books.

Q: Can I have copies of books at my table?

A: An author may have one copy of their book for display purposes only. The book must be clearly labeled DISPLAY COPY, to avoid confusion with the books that are for sale.

Admission to this event is included for Full Conference and Weekend Pass registrants. Sunday Day and Single Event Passes may be purchased beginning February 11, during our standard registration period.
