New in 2012!

Revamped Bert Greene Awards Categories

Each year, the Bert Greene Awards Committee revisits the awards program's policies and procedures to ensure their relevance in the fast-changing world of food journalism. As such, the Bert Greene Awards will be given in five categories in 2012, four of which are modified or brand new: Culinary Writing with or without Recipes; Culinary Writing about Beverages; Instructional Culinary Writing with Recipes; Culinary Travel Writing or Memoirs and Personal Essays; and Culinary Writing That Makes a Difference. Please note that the Culinary Blog category is now included under the New Media & Broadcast Awards.

New Media & Broadcast Awards

In response to the explosive growth in broadcast and new media, IACP has added this program to honor trendsetters in culinary blogs, video- and audio-casting, and other digital applications. Learn more about categories and submission guidelines here.

Culinary Travel Cookbook Award

To reflect the growing global culture of food, a new Culinary Travel category honors guidebooks, travelogues, or other types of books that illuminate the culture of a place through an exploration of its food. Read more.
