Photography Contest

The contributions of food photographers and stylists are an important ingredient of any successful culinary project, which is why IACP celebrates these members' outstanding work through the annual Photography Contest.

We have a fresh take for the 2012 IACP Food Photographers & Stylists Competition. The competition will remain theme-based, with finalists and a winner selected by a panel of judges, along with a People's Choice Award. But we're excited to announce two significant shifts for this year's FPS Competition:

1) The competition will take place post-conference.

2) Entries will be displayed via an online gallery for the world at large to see.

We're trying this for several reasons: In the past, only those attending conference had a chance to view the print entries, which were costly to produce. With all the distractions during those few intense days, not even all the attendees had the time to take a look. By shifting the competition to post-conference with an online format, we hope to provide greater exposure for the work of the entrants, which may include anyone within the entire IACP membership.

This year's theme is simple. Submit your best image from the New York conference or your best image on the conference's theme: "The Fashion of Food."

Call for entries will be TBA. All IACP members will be eligible to enter one image, whether they attend conference or not. Cost for entry will be a nominal $20 per member.
