September 20th, 2013Posted by: Margaret Crable

IACP is excited to inform members about the Farm to Table Tour: Road trip to Schoharie County, presented by Les Dames d’Escoffier of NY!

On October 5th, take a guided tour to Schoharie County and explore all that this rich agricultural community has to offer. You won’t find a better time to visit than now when the fall colors are on full display, the air is crisp and the harvest is in. The itinerary includes a stop at Wellington’s Herbs where you can wander 45 acres of fragrant flower and herb gardens and a visit to Barber’s Farm, family-owned for six generations. The outing concludes at the SUNY Cobleskill campus, where you’ll enjoy a dinner prepared by the culinary staff, featuring campus-raised beef, brown trout and other items from local producers. Click here for a complete summary of events.

This all-day event includes a guided bus trip to and from downtown New York City, a bagged lunch, dinner, dessert and a souvenir gift bag filled with goodies. By special arrangement with Les Dames d’Escoffier of NY, registration is only $45 for IACP members and $55 for non-members.  Space is limited to 40 guests and registation closes September 27th. So  register now and don’t miss a single autumn leaf, sip of cider or nibble of cheese at this exciting excursion!  All proceeds benefit the LDNY Scholarship program.
