Board of Directors Election: Meet Candidate Denise Vivaldo

February 3rd, 2013Posted by: Laura Atkinson

Today is the sixth and final in our series of blog posts introducing you to the six IACP Board of Directors candidates for the 2013-15 term.

A Message from Denise Vivaldo

IACP made a big difference in my career and it still does today. I feel very strongly that forming bonds with culinary colleagues is essential to success.

Laughing, sharing, learning (and physically drinking a bottle of wine!) with a new friend beats reading a Tweet any day.

Networking at its best is about helping your clients, your vendors, your friends and yourself to find new opportunities. After almost 30 years in business, I can honestly say that relationships and referrals have kept my business alive and prosperous. Business is relationships, plain and simple. And IACP is relationships.

My vision for IACP is to continue to make it the best international food organization in the world. We have come a long way. We can be proud. And we can do better.

We have seen an increase of members from other areas of the food industry, like bloggers, personal chefs and restaurant owners. We can build on that, encouraging new members and keeping IACP up-to-date. We can help each other. The food market is constantly changing. Let’s mentor the young and respect the experienced.

Let’s be the best we can be,

Denise Vivaldo
