Whether you're new to IACP or a veteran member, by now you know: IACP is serious about celebrating remarkable culinary professionals around the globe. Each year the organization applauds outstanding accomplishments in cookbook writing, food journalism, professional excellence, food photography, and other professional pursuits through an awards program widely regarded as the most prestigious in the industry. The call for submissions occurs in the fall, and the program culminates in the spring at the Annual Conference, where winners are announced at a gala party.
The IACP Cookbook Awards have become the industry's most coveted acknowledgement of excellence in cookbook writing. The awards promote quality and creativity in the cookbook publishing industry, and expand the public's awareness of culinary literature with awards in sixteen categories.
Created to honor the memory of the late Bert Greene, the nationally acclaimed cooking teacher, cookbook author, and syndicated food columnist, the Bert Greene Awards recognize excellence in food journalism. Any professional food journalist who has published a food-related article, column, essay, or blog, during the 2009 calendar year is eligible for this award, which is given in six categories.
Conducted by IACP’s Food Photographers and Stylists Professional Interest Section, this contest presents awards in two categories: Best of Show and People's Choice. Each year a theme is selected as the basis for the contest, and submissions are displayed and available for purchase at the Annual Conference.
The IACP Awards of Excellence honor leaders in the culinary field who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership, and expertise. Fourteen award categories cover the full range of our professionally diverse membership, offering opportunities for recognition across all industry segments.
The IACP Special Recognition Awards program recognizes culinary professionals who have made noteworthy and lasting contributions to the culinary industry and/or through their service to the association. The IACP Board of Directors serves as the Awards Committee, which establishes written criteria for each of four award categories.
