Special Recognition Awards
2010 Program
2010 Awardees
Since 1990 the awards that comprise the IACP Special Recognition Awards program have honored and paid tribute to notable culinary professionals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the culinary industry and/or to the association. Former award recipients include distinguished culinary professionals such as Rick Bayless, Julia Child, CCP, Jacques Pépin, CCP, Judith Jones, Catherine Sneed, Ingrid Esplid Hovig, Richard Sax (posthumously), and Anne Willan, CCP, among many others.
The IACP Board of Directors serves as the Special Recognition Awards Committee, which establishes written criteria for each award and determines award winners for the Humanitarian Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and (new this year) the IACP Volunteer of the Year Award.
Any culinary professional may nominate themselves or another culinary professional for the Special Recognition Awards. Only the Volunteer of the Year Award requires that the nominee be a member of IACP.
