Who We Are

The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) is a worldwide forum for the development and exchange of information, knowledge, and inspiration within the professional food and beverage community. With nearly 3,000 members from more than 32 countries, this organization of creative and talented professionals is engaged in and committed to excellence in the food industry.
 
IACP has been at the forefront of expanding opportunities for culinary professionals for over 30 years.   World-class members have included the likes of Julia Child, CCP, Anne Willan, CCP, James McNair, Rick Bayless, Shirley O. Corriher, CCP, Lynne Rossetto Kasper, and Jacques Pépin, CCP, to name a few.  Tomorrow’s culinary leaders look to IACP as a home where they can cultivate their careers alongside peers who share their passion for food.  Together through IACP, culinary professionals inspire, celebrate and shape the world table.
 
Serving many specialty fields, IACP is the crossroads where all culinary professionals meet to share their expertise and learn from one another.  Because its enthusiastic membership hails from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, IACP offers unique insight into the world’s cuisines and food industry. 
 
The  organization’s greatest culinary resource is found in this multi-faceted membership, which includes chefs, restaurateurs, foodservice operators, writers, photographers and stylists, marketers, nutritionists, and academia, hailing from hospitality, tourism, wine, publishing, media and other industries and professions.  
 
IACP leverages this collective wealth of knowledge by offering an array of experiences to its members, through networking, participation in professional interest sections, continuing education, annual conference, and also by recognizing industry accomplishments through CCP certification and a prestigious annual awards program.   The open forum provided by this community is in fact a powerful channel for both personal and career growth.  Developing lasting friendships – the type that come from dining around the table and connecting with colleagues – is also part of being a member.
