Featured Partner

On this inauguration of our new site, it's only fitting that we pay tribute to the partner who made it all possible.

Thanks to TheRecipeManager team and founder Larry Barcot for their generous underwriting of our website redesign. IACP is honored to be associated with a company whose philosophy and products we so admire. For those of you who didn't get to meet Larry at our 2011 Annual Conference, we are pleased to introduce him and his company through his personal remarks, below.
Our History and Philosophy
“Helping our customers better enjoy good food.”
Ever hear people saying things like "it never looks like the pictures . . . ” or “how do they do that?” Pictures help a lot. High definition video helps even more by providing the home cook with an entirely new level of understanding.
2001: The year we decided to take all those scattered recipes and organize them - you know, the ones stuck into various cookbooks, scattered in kitchen drawers, or highlighted in a pile of magazines.
2011: Ten years later, with thousands of registered users all over the world, our recipe management software, TheRecipeManager, has become a lifestyle device.
Recipes are more than a collection of ingredients and instructions. Their narrative is the story of several generations. They are a collection of fond memories. They are souvenirs of places and events. Recipe software is more than an electronic filing cabinet, which is why we continue to enhance and expand our product line today. TheRecipeManager is available for both Windows and Mac desktop computers. And the iPhone and iPad.
Our Products
“The ultimate cookbook software for home cooks and professional chefs.”
We now introduce TheInformedChef - a new series of electronic cookbooks. These digital books are a collection of multi-media apps, each featuring an award-winning chef/author guiding the reader through 25 recipes. Each app also contains from 50 to 80 videos, tips, and demos to ensure that the recipes look and taste the way they should. Tips range from introductory, such as how to dice an onion or slice a bell pepper, to intermediate and advanced (think: cleaning Dungeness crab or making hand-crafted breads from scratch).
Watch a user create Sesame-Crusted Seared Tuna with Wasabi Vinaigrette with the Counter Intelligence iPad app (just click on the first image). Or listen to fellow IACP member Meredith Deeds as she introduces this app (click the second image).
