The 2018 IACP Awards committees are currently seeking new judges:
Whether you’re interested in recipe testing new cookbooks, reviewing beautiful food photographs, or diving into compelling culinary journalism – we have a position for you! If you are a current IACP member, have a flexible schedule during the months of December 2017 and January 2018, and work well meeting exact deadlines, read on to find out more about these opportunities.
The ideal candidate delights in the chance to review approximately 30-50 books (and test recipes for some categories), maintains strict confidentiality, possesses a critical and artistic eye, and adores meeting exact deadlines. This individual must also be tech savvy and have the ability to fill out online forms and open reports.
This year, it will be imperative for our judging timeline to be adhered to closely as our IACP Annual Conference in New York, NY launches early, from February 23-25, 2018. In addition, we are requiring all judges in this category to be located in the continental U.S. Please be sure to review the timeline presented on the application to make sure you are fully available during the judging period (please note that judging overlaps with the winter holidays). You can apply through this application link.

Judges should be passionate about the subject matter of their committee, whether it be food writing, photography and styling, or new frontiers of culinary media. Applicants should also be excellent at meeting deadlines and at adhering to strict confidentiality. Judges may reside internationally.
