Each year IACP honors the best in food media, including videos, journalism, social media, blogs, and radio. We’ve made some big changes to our awards this year so read on to find out about our exciting new categories:
Streamlined our food blog categories. We’ve eliminated the “Narrative Culinary Blog” and “Recipe-Based Blog” distinction between individual blogs. Our blog categories are now “Individual Blog”, a blog authored by a single person, either as an independent entity or an extension of an existing media brand, and “Group Blog”, a blog authored by a group of individuals, either as an independent entity or an extension of an existing media brand.
New categories for video or TV series. Our new “Independent Video or TV Series” category is for a series produced by an individual entity. The “Corporate Video or TV Series” is for a series produced by a corporate media entity. The series must contain at least six episodes. Episodes can be of any length.
New “Narrative Marketing Campaign” category. This award will recognize excellence in marketing communications.
“Culinary Audio” category name changed. We’ve changed the name of our audio category to “Podcast or Radio Show” to better reflect the focus of this award.
Updated our single food video category. We have changed this category name to “Single Food Focused Food Video or Feature Film”. Videos submitted can be of any length and can focus on news, entertainment, culinary instruction, or other topic.
Delineated our Publication of the Year category. We’ve separated our Publication of the Year category to give more exposure to publications with smaller circulation numbers. We will now award one Publication of the Year Award to a publication with circulation above 300,000 and one award to a publication with circulation below 300,000.
